Prepare for Your Trip

• Make sure you have a return ticket, as Liberia airport customs may ask for proof.

• You will also be asked for your accommodation address. Since Costa Rica has no precise street addresses, simply provide:
  CASA ENTRECOSTAS, Playas del Coco.

• Download WhatsApp before traveling; it is widely used by restaurants, tour operators, and locals.

• You can use 911 for any emergency in Costa Rica, including police, ambulance, and fire services.

Guest access
Entire private house is available to be used by guests, and even more: with your booking you have access to Cocobay Beach club, including 2 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, gym area, large community pool and a great restauran; all less that 2 minutes driving and with meal delivery during your stay

Other things to note
Coco Beach is a great hub to enjoy fishing tours, visit other beaches, visit the great dining options nearby or simply stay at our house and have them deliver anything here. We can provide you recommendations for beach tours, restaurants, travel tips and more

A/C location: There are independent A/C units on every room, and 2 large units in the kitchen and living area.  

• Instructions:  Set to AUTO. For AC, set temperature no lower than 72°F to avoid freezing unit.  Remote controllers are in every room and replacement batteries available in the pantry.

Kitchen & Appliances

• Stove:  Stove is an induction cooktop.  Only specific kitchenware will heat.

• Overn:  oven and kitchen oven-safe containers are available

• Microwave: large microwave available with full features 

• Dishwasher: Load, rinse lightly, add detergent tablet in slot, select NORMAL, press START. Please run full loads only.  Consider Costa Rica is under serious drought conditions and we need to save water. 

• Coffee & Tea: Coffee station includes grinder, drip coffee maker, french press,  water heater kettle, and programmable coffee maker.

• Trash & Recycling: Large trash bin in kitchen for convinience.  Two outdoor trash cans are available.  Please be aware racoons are in the area, we recommend taking out trash to the Cocobay trash area every 2 nights.

• Dining room fan is remote control operated.

Bathroom & Laundry

• Towels: Guests will have towels in every bathroom

• Washer/Dryer: Usage is free for one use per stay.  For more usage, please coordinate.

• Hair dryer: Provided in bathroom sink drawers

Pool and outdoor shower 

• Pool runs on its own cycle.  Maintenance teams will be there for cleaning twice per week at least.

• If you want to activate the water feature, please ask host.

• Do not tamper with pool filter and pipes.

• Lights are all remote control activated.  Remote control is by the coffee maker.

• Pool is not heated, but water remains at nice 18 to 25 celsisus naturally.

Trash, Recycling & Compost

• Racoons in the area will try to break into the bins. Please keep secured or better take the trash to the condominium bins.

• Two bins are near the gate on the left side of the property

• Sorting rules: Basic separation of glass, cans and plastics helps protect Costa Rica's nature.

Parking & Transportation

• On-site parking: Up to 5 cars and Golf Carts can park on premises.

• Taxis and Uber can be booked.  They will need pre-authorization to enter the gated community.

Safety Recommendations

• Area is safe inside the gated community.  Still recommend locking doors when house is empty.

• Racoons and other vermin can try to get to the kitchen if left unlocked during the night

• Monkeys and houling monkeys may be roaming the area.  Any food left outside could be eaten during nights.

• We recommend taking precautions when walking late in Coco Beach area, its a touristic area and like any tourist hub,  peopel try to take advantage.

• Keep cars locked when not in premises

• Mosquitoes and spiders are common in natural settings.  Be friendly with them, but be careful with potential scorpions that may roam and get in clothes left on the floor.

Groceries

• AUTO MERCADO: Tourist oriented, more expensive, very complete. High-end.

• SUPER COMPRO: Local, cheaper with good packaged goods options

• MEGA SUPER:  Close to Automercado.  Good middle point.

• SUPER CHINA: Large dollar store style shop with groceries & alcohol

• Many small convenience stores are located along the road to Ocotal and downtown Coco Beach.

 

House Rules — Full Details

• Emergency exit plan: Primary exit is front door; the property is open to easily walk out of each bedroom. 

• Emergency light in the main living area.

• Emergency flashlight located in the pantry by the kitchen.

• Fire extinguisher: Located under sink

• Alarm/CO detectors: Smoke alarm is in the kitchen

• Smoking: Not allowed  

• Parties & events: Strictly prohibited. If discovered, immediate eviction and will be reported to Airbnb.

• Noise: Observe quiet hours after 10 pm. Be considerate of neighbors.

• Pets: Pets can be allowed.  No pets on furniture.  Extra fees for cleaning.

• Cleaning: Just keep basic order, we will clean after your stay.

• Unauthorized items: Do not remove linens, kitchenware, smart TV remote from the areas.

Checkout Instructions 

• Check-out time: By 10:00 am.  Late check out may be a vailable, just ask

• Before you leave:

  • Just take good care of the house, we don't expect you to go beyond that

  • Take out trash and recycling to curb (or place in designated bin area)

  • Return keys to host or place in secure box

  • Turn off lights, 

  • Turn off AC - helps us and the environment

  • Send a quick message that you’ve checked out (optional)

• Late check-out: Contact host for availability; additional fee may apply.

Mobile FAQ — Quick Answers for Guests

Q: I can’t find the Wi‑Fi password. A: It’s on the Quick Start sheet on the kitchen counter and written on the router label 

Q: How do I operate the TV / streaming? A: All smart TVs have a remote for the TV and a remote for the cable box.  

• Turn on TV: press POWER

• Switch inputs: press INPUT or SOURCE

• Netflix/Hulu/Amazon: Apps require guest login on personal accounts; we do not leave account credentials.

Q: The AC isn’t working. A: Remotes for each unit are available in each room.  Try keeping temperature not lower than 20 celsius as it prevents the pipes from condensing and the units to stop.   If still not working, call/text host.

​

Q: Where do I park? A: Preferable on the drive way in front of the front door.

​

Q: Can I check in early / leave luggage after checkout? A: Early check-in and luggage storage depend on availability — please request in advance. We may charge a small fee.
